This project is based on the examination of uniformity in a specific group of people. White shirt as a determinant garment is part of office wear, standing for regularity, a condition in what everybody identify themselves with what they wear. It has control over the appearance and disguise the identity of an individual. The secret language behind “office look,” the personalities within office uniforms.
Specific element of the shirt like collars made me think of nuances of the negative spaces created by buttoning the collar in different ways to still personalize this formal look. The undefined space stands for certain signs for each individual, depending on how the collar stands or if the button of the shirt is open or not. I wanted to emphasize these details and mark the territories between the neck line and the collar by making graphics based on my own photographs.
