Dress Information Group was a collaborative research on the way garments relate to the body.

What makes a garment recognizable? How do you approach a garment which no longer has the same pattern like before?
The word delineate is something used to outline and define an actual marking of lines and boundaries in detail. It refers to the way how a garment is constructed, associated with certain shapes and contours.
In this project I’ve used ready made clothes as a starting point and by changing the pattern and hiding the clear entrances of each garment explored new ways to inter-connect them again. The knitted elements became new extended seams and raised the question;

HOW TO PUT ON A GARMENT?

I’ve asked five people to wear the garments one by one without giving them any instruction. The photos show the results of how my models dealt with the unrecognizable “garments” and wore them in different ways while showing their identity.
